The Land of Imagination is an inspiring story about believing in yourself and your dreams. I was asked by a teacher to write a paragraph without using a contraction. When I set out to do this task, I realized how often we all used the words CAN'T, WOULDN'T and SHOULDN'T. I decided then and there to write a children's book about the subject.

This is a story about a very creative kingdom, where everyone is doing what they LOVE to do. A nasty wizard decides everyone is too happy and puts a magic changing potion in the queen's tea which turns her negative. From that day forward she talks about what she and everyone else CAN'T do.

A little girl who works as a maid in the castle, wants to change the kingdom back to a place where people are using the words CAN, WILL and DO again. She dreams of becoming an actress in the royal theatre but CAN'T because of the negativity around her. With the help of a butterfly and a magic dragon she finds a way to save the kingdom and free everyone from their limited thinking. A great teaching tool for children and a wonderful reminder for adults.
